In-house lawyer and specialist in employment law
Joël Dolmans studied Dutch Private Law and Criminal Law at the University of Utrecht. In 2009, he graduated with a master’s degree for both study programmes. Joël also studied law at Uppsala University in Sweden.
On April 13th, 2010, Joël was sworn in as a lawyer and since that time he was employed at a prestigious law firm in Hilversum. As of September 1st, 2016, Joël has come to work at Van As Advocaten and as in-house lawyer he enthusiastically engages in law. In this scope, he operates a general civil (litigation) practice with a special focus on landlord and tenant law, law of obligations and business law. Joël attended a specialist course in Employment Law at the Grotius Academy and besides his work as in-house lawyer he also handles various specialist employment law cases. His clients include both employers and employees.
For many years, Joël served as chairman of the “Gooische Advocaten Vereniging (G.A.V.)”, a Dutch association of lawyers operating in the region called Het Gooi. He is also a member of the Dutch Employment Lawyers Association (‘VAAN’) and the Dutch Association for Sport and Law. Joël regularly provides lectures and courses in the field of employment law and he is an annual guest lecturer for students of the law degree programme at the HU University of Applied Sciences in Utrecht.
